Brewing Community Through Running and Coffee

Saucony is taking its community-driven ethos to a whole new level with Saucony Cafe, a global series of coffee shop residencies designed to bring runners together. Inspired by the success of Café Vestiaire, a pop-up during Paris Fashion Week, this initiative is all about blending running culture with the cozy, communal vibe of a coffeehouse. The first stop? New York City’s Ludlow Coffee Supply, with plans to expand to Boston, London, Grand Rapids, and beyond.

More Than Just a Pop-Up Cafe

The Saucony Cafe isn’t just a pop-up – it’s a full experience. For a month, Ludlow Coffee Supply and all upcoming stops are getting a Saucony makeover with branded cups, outfitted staff in Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 sneakers, and a punch card system offering coffee drinkers $10 off at Saucony.com after four purchases.

There’s also a signature Saucony-themed drink – SOCK-A-KNEE – a spicy double shot of espresso infused with cayenne pepper and chocolate, topped with extra foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon. What’s a specialty drink if it’s not posted to social media? Customers who do that will get the chance to win gear by posting about their experience.

Beyond the coffee, Saucony is curating in-person and virtual run club events under its “Run as One” mantra, inspired by the latest brand campaign featuring Saucony athlete Vanessa Fraser and creative collaborator Jae Tips, the campaign reinforces the idea that when we run together, we achieve more than we ever could alone.

Test Run

The concept of a running-focused cafe first took shape in Paris in January. Saucony and Collision Running Club created a space that blended running culture with a laid-back, track-inspired atmosphere. The café was more than a pit stop—it became a meeting hub for runners, a place to escape the cold, grab quality coffee, and engage with like-minded people. While runs were part of the program, the real magic happened in the hangout space, proving that a shared love for running extends beyond the pavement.

World Tour

Following the NYC residency, the Saucony Cafe will make its way to Boston during Marathon week at Cafe Landwer, followed by further expansions to major global cities. Each residency will feature unique events and brand collaborations, ensuring that every location offers a fresh take on the intersection of running, community, and culture.

With a mix of activations, exclusive events, and a welcoming space for runners to connect, the Saucony Cafe is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a movement. Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just getting into running, this initiative proves that the best runs often start with a great cup of coffee.
