I believe that’s just in the ride now, formerly in the Triumph 20 and 21. It has some firmness and bounce and in a plated combo would differentiate it from the Ride that uses Powerrun Plus but no plate and the Speed that uses the softer Powerrun PB with the plate. Maybe they tried it and the combo of Incredirun top and Plus bottom evened each other out and felt too much like the Speed but if not I have no idea why they wouldn’t use it instead of old standard Powerrun. Even if it felt too much like the Speed in that combo, take Thomas’s suggestion and mix that firmer but bouncy foam with the Incredirun top without a plate to create a different shoe. The Triumph now being Powerrun PB would be different and to the extent many aren’t thrilled with it, it would give them a a different option. Also the Tempus proved the combos nonplated could work (Powerrun regular with PB). This would be a better version of that mix, upgrading both of those foams. Really can’t believe they’d make a new $180 shoe with regular Powerrun. I still run in Triumph 20s sometimes with just Plus and they have hundreds of miles on them. As a Saucony lover, I would love to feel what this new trainer feels like with Plus on the bottom.
